This Privacy Policy describes how Typedream LLP (“Typedream”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information in connection with skn.coach (the “Service”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.
1. Definitions
“Personal Data” means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data, or as otherwise defined under applicable law. “Sensitive Personal Data” (if recognized by applicable law) may include data such as precise location or health-related information. For avoidance of doubt, photos you submit to the Service may be considered Personal Data.
“Tracking” (where used in this Policy) refers to linking information about you or your device collected in our app with information collected across other companies’ apps, websites, or offline properties for advertising measurement or delivery. On iOS, Tracking permission is requested through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (“ATT”) prompt.
2. Information we collect
- Contact info: email address (used for login, account, and support).
- Profile information: information you provide such as date of birth and skincare preferences (used to personalize your experience).
- User content (photos and uploads): selfies, progress photos, and product photos you choose to upload. We store the photos you upload in our private Supabase Storage so you can access scan history and progress features.
- Face data (selfies): if you upload a selfie for skin analysis, it may contain your face. We process the image to crop the face region for consistent analysis. We do not use selfies for face recognition, identity verification, or to create biometric identifiers (such as faceprints or templates).
- Health & fitness (skin-related) information: skin goals/concerns you provide and the skin analysis outputs we generate from your photos (for example, skin signals, confidence, and routine recommendations). skn.coach is not a medical service and does not diagnose conditions.
- Location: with your permission, we may collect approximate location (such as city/country) and/or device coordinates to fetch local climate signals (e.g., humidity/UV/air quality) and provide climate-aware adjustments. We do not use location for continuous tracking of your movements.
- Usage data: app interactions and feature usage (e.g., onboarding steps, routine completion) to operate and improve the Service.
- Identifiers: device and app identifiers (such as app instance IDs, push notification tokens, and subscription identifiers) used for security, feature operation, and billing status.
- Attribution and advertising identifiers: we collect attribution data and identifiers used to measure marketing performance (for example, install source and campaign metadata). Depending on your device and choices, this may include mobile advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA and Android’s Advertising ID). On iOS, if you do not allow Tracking in the ATT prompt, we do not access IDFA and rely on privacy-preserving attribution such as SKAdNetwork where available.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, error logs, and performance data used to troubleshoot and improve reliability (for example, via Sentry). We do not intentionally include photos in these logs.
- Purchases: subscription status and purchase metadata provided by app stores and other payment intermediaries.
- Communications: messages you send to us (e.g., support requests) and our responses.
3. How we use information
- Provide the Service and personalize routines and insights.
- Operate core features (including photo analysis, product parsing, and routine generation).
- How we use face data: we use selfies and cropped face images only to run skin analysis, generate your personalized routine, and show your results (including progress over time) in the app. We do not use face data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Send reminders and service-related notifications where you enable them.
- Provide billing features and manage subscription status.
- Improve safety rules (e.g., avoid incompatible actives) and overall product quality.
- Customer support and troubleshooting.
- Analytics and research to understand performance and improve user experience.
- Measure marketing performance and attribution (for example, understand which campaigns led to installs), in accordance with your device choices and applicable law.
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection, and to enforce our Terms.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We may create aggregated or de-identified data from Personal Data where permitted by law, and use it for product improvement, analytics, and research.
We do not sell your Personal Data. On our website, we may use advertising and marketing measurement technologies (such as Google Ads and Meta Pixel) to measure marketing performance (for example, to understand whether a visit led to an app store redirect) and to improve our ads. We do not use face data for advertising and we do not share face data with advertisers.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose information only as necessary to operate and protect the Service, including:
- Service providers: vendors and contractors that provide services such as hosting, storage, analytics, communications, customer support, fraud prevention, and payment processing.
- Face data processors: when you use selfie-based skin analysis, we share your selfie/cropped face image with service providers that process it on our behalf to provide the feature, including Cloudinary (temporary image processing for face-region cropping), OpenAI (AI skin analysis), and Supabase (database and private Supabase Storage used to store your uploads). We do not sell face data and do not share it with advertisers.
- Analytics and diagnostics providers: we may use vendors such as PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (crash reporting), and Singular (marketing attribution) to understand feature performance, measure marketing effectiveness, and improve reliability. Where supported, we configure tools to mask sensitive content (such as camera screens), and we do not send your uploaded photos to analytics or diagnostics tools.
- Attribution partners: if you came to skn.coach through an advertisement, our attribution provider (Singular) may share limited attribution signals with advertising platforms and partners so we can measure campaign performance. This may involve mobile advertising identifiers where permitted by your device settings and choices (including ATT), or privacy-preserving attribution such as SKAdNetwork.
- Advertising and marketing measurement (website): if you accept marketing cookies on our website, Google and Meta may receive information about your visit (such as page views and device identifiers/cookies) to help us measure marketing performance and improve ads.
- Billing and subscription providers: we may use vendors such as RevenueCat and app stores to process subscriptions and keep your subscription status in sync.
- Notifications: if you enable reminders, notification providers (such as Expo and platform push services) may process device tokens to deliver notifications.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- Legal and safety: to comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, protect rights and safety, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- With your direction: when you choose to share data or connect the Service to third-party features.
5. International data transfers
We are based in India (Awas Vikas, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, India). Your information may be processed in India and in other locations where we or our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed outside your state or country of residence, subject to applicable law.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service (for example, to show your scan history) and comply with legal obligations. If you request deletion or delete your account, we will delete your photos stored in Supabase Storage (including selfies/cropped face images) and related analysis results within 30 days, unless we are required to retain certain information by law.
Temporary processing copies are retained for a short time: Cloudinary copies are attempted to be deleted after processing (typically within minutes). Our AI provider (OpenAI) may retain API data (including images and generated outputs) for a limited period for abuse monitoring and safety, as described in their applicable policies.
We may retain certain account records, billing records, and security logs for a reasonable period where needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your Personal Data, which may include the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your Personal Data, and to withdraw consent or opt out of certain processing. Where applicable, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent authority.
- You can choose what you upload (including photos) and can delete content where available in-app.
- You can disable permissions like location in your device settings.
- You can opt out of certain analytics and product improvement processing in-app where available.
- On iOS, you can control Tracking permission in the ATT prompt and in your device settings. On Android, you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in device settings.
- You can opt out of marketing communications where applicable.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can accept or decline marketing cookies using the consent prompt on the website.
10. Children’s privacy
